My husband and I recently moved to Michigan after a job transfer, and here is what I know about Michigan so far. It is really cold. We were warned when we moved from “down South” that the winter was the absolute wrong time to move to Michigan. We knew that the other seasons were clearly more enjoyable, and that we were setting ourselves up for a rough few months when we made the move in late December. I don’t think we really had any other options; my husband had to start his new role at the first of the year and we had already sold our house. We could either rent until it got a little warmer in Michigan, or we could all make the move together as a family. The thing is? I really like Michigan, actually. The people are great. Here is what I do not like about Michigan: the winter that everyone warned us about? It’s colder than I ever could have imagined. The first thing we did was check out
michigan Direct TV, because we will be watching a lot of television until it warms up outside.
